It's actually kind of true, i saw your post and even tried window but
it seemed too bloated for my purpose. Anyway i was thinking about doing
something in this direction before.

I don't see it competing against dwm, but it's handy for ssh session or
other environments where you don't have X11.

ROTE is actually LGPL, otherwhise copyleft would apply anyway. What's
your concern about this?
