[wiki] [quark][patches][noroot] Noroot patch updated
I pushed the quark-noroot-20260211-5ad0df9.diff on Feb 12 to the wiki's
master branch. It makes "safe" to use quark without chroot, because it
won't let the request to go past current directory the process is in. It
also removes all of the process credentials tinkering, like setpgrp()
which breaks tty usage (^C gets ignored, for example). There is a room
to improve that patch, but I will try to look into that later. Right now
it's very usable for me.
But wiki page for the patch hasn't updated since that addition. My
thought process was that git is periodically checked for additions, and
commits are either accepted or deleted from the tree. I waited for a
couple of weeks, and in the end forgotten about it. Do I need to send
patches via mail for them to be noticed and updated? Or just a simple
notification with a proper subject will suffice?
