Actually, if you have the proper hinting settings (no easy task in
Xft), you don't necessarily get antialiased fonts. I've finally
switched to Xft in wmii because of the old system's atrocious unicode
support, but I still have non-blury fonts. (Plus, bonus, I have
sub-pixel antialiasing turned on for when ordinary hinting fails.)
