People that write programs that depend on glib should be taken out and
shot, probably followed by those that write XMPP clients (and servers,
and anything else that interacts with XMPP).
The only remotely sane way to deal with the abominable monster that is
Jabber is to use bitlbee or some other IRC gateway.
