Yes, using the 'wired' driver. However, afaik wpa_supplicant only
handles one device per instance, so any controlling script would need
to manage both instances, and at that point there's no point using
wpa_supplicant for wired, unless your wired network requires
authentication. Something else would have to monitor the wired
connection and kill wpa_supplicant on wired connection.
