I disagree with window borders being useless. For example a lot of
curses based programs don't have a cursor at all. If you have two of
these open, no way of telling which one is active.
I also get easily confused with graphical programs if I don't have a
bright hilight for the currently active window. I dare guess that a lot
of people who use dwm also use keyboard with a web browser, even with a
graphical one, and they usually don't have this kind of indicator
either.
