[dev] [DWM] Very laggy terminal when using different monitor resolutions

I am running dwm on Ubuntu. Recently got a large monitor.
After setting multi monitors with corresponding resolutions:
xrandr --output VGA-0 --mode 1280x1024 --pos 0x0 --rotate normal --output
S-video --off --output DVI-0 --mode 2048x1152 --pos 1280x0 --rotate normal

Terminal (uxterm) (and any terminal applications such as vim) got very
slow. Resizing results in several slow refreshes for about 5-10 seconds.
Vim is nearly unusable.
Note:
  - When both monitors are set to the same resolution, terminals are fine.
  - When using gnome after issuing the same xrandr command terminals are
fine.
  - I tried tilda, but still have the problem. So uxterm is not the issue.
  - Xinarama libraries are installed in my system. ie. -DXINERAMA

Thanks,

Atalay
