Exactly! This is what I wrote:

static char font[] = "terminus:pixelsize=16:antialias=false:autohint=false";

Seems fine for Latin characters, but cyrillic ones are not terminus.
Are cyrillic font must be set somehow specially?
Visually, cyrillic characters are from Liberation font.
