Ahoy comrades!
I have written a paper about libzahl.
Too energy efficient to open the PDF and
read the abstract? No worries, here it is:
This is a technical discussion about the design
and decisions behind libzahl, a big integer
library whose goal align with the suckless
philosophy: simplicity, clarity, and frugality.
These are not goals of numeric libraries, tra-
ditionally; they are difficult to combine with
performance when the performance is dependent on
algorithms. Is it possible to create a simple big
number library competitive with the fastest big
number libraries around?
Proofreading and suggestions is greatly appreciated!
If I can make it to slcon3 (don't know right now),
this is a superset of what I will be submitting for
my proposal. So be aware of potential spoilers.
