Ross:
I use a program called gmrun, which is basically overkill. (But hey,
I have the processor cycles to spare, so why not.)
http://www.bazon.net/mishoo/gmrun.epl
It's dependent on GTK, and I have it bound to Mod1+Shift+r. It's a
popup command dialog with tab-completion and searchable history. It's
basically a little one-line GUI prompt. It can also handle mimetypes
and such. I have three launchers in my keys section in dwm:
Mod1+Shift+f for firefox, Mod1+Shift+Enter for xterm, and Mod1+Shift+r
for everything else.
I like the idea of splitting wmii-menu off into its own program,
though. I'm going to look into it.
