[dwm] caps and clipboard

What's the best way to disable the caps lock with editing /etc/X11?

I noticed I did this:

http://svn.natalian.org/home/.Xmodmap

But it doesn't seem to work on my Debian unstable system.

Also is there a trick to put a file contents into X's clipboard? Like:
cat file > $clipboard

Something like that?

Any other clipboard tricks people have to share?

For example:
http://svn.natalian.org/home/.Xresources

This allows me to access to the Gnome/Firefox clipboard whilst holding
down shift.
