I know pancake's patch; I've used it myself and I like it. But I don't
want to append this window to stacking area -- and moreover, it should
*never* appear in master area. With pancake's patch, this is up to what
mode I'm in, IIRC.

I think a typical popup dialogue like this should always go to floating
area.
