That's a limited viewpoint - dmenu is a string-chooser - it doesn't care
if the strings represent applications or not. It just lets you choose
one.

I agree with you though - a use-case would be nice to see. I can't think
of any use that I would have for the x-paste, but that may just be *my*
lack of imagination :-)
