I like it!

Another use case: a program (e.g., an RSS feed reader) running in
one window could open a textmode browser in another, in order to
display the page at a specified URL.

An even more general use case: a user could enter a shell command
in one window to open a new window running any arbitrary program.
(I've often wished Mod-c took an argument, so I could run something
besides a shell in the new window.)
