Good catch. Join isn’t the only function in sbase ed with that issue,
so it will need a comprehensive solution (GNU ed turns blocks
interrupts during almost every buffer function, for example). Since
development on ed seems to be really slow at the moment, it seems
best to fix the obvious bug first.
