I can reproduce it on master. On my personal branch that uses
fakefullscreen comp patch [0] it simply unfullscreens the window if you
open another one.
I'm not really sure what the correct behavior would be.
Consider cases where you maybe doing something important in fullscreen
mode (playing games or watching movie) and some random popup window
opens up. It'd be annoying if that takes you out of fullscreen.
Maybe fullscreen windows should retain focus instead of handing that
over to the (non-visible) new window? Investigating how other WMs deal
with this situation or if there's some spec around it (xdg/icccm/ewmh)
could be fruitful.
