this is what i've done:
i mad a copy of the wmii conifg-files unter /etc/
these are (wmii-2 with ~x86 under gentoo)
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 1104 Dec 13 21:54 action
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 2811 Dec 13 21:54 bar
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 3295 Dec 13 21:54 keys
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1348 Dec 13 21:54 menu
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 3093 Dec 13 21:54 rc
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1630 Dec 13 21:54 rc.conf
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 1004 Dec 13 21:54 status.sh
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 3084 Dec 13 21:54 wm
the file rc.conf is mentioned in the article and i have it installed.
wmii -v gives:
wmiiwm - window manager improved 2 - 2 (xlib)
(C)opyright MMIV-MMV Anselm R. Garbe
anything wrong with this?
for wmii-3 i have to install a new kernel, i give it a try this weekend.
