Hi there,
I implemented a key press tee-application which prints a
keypress to stdout and resends the keypress to the original
application. This application can be found in hg tip of wmii
repository in wmii/cmd/wmiikgrab.
(hg clone http://wmii.de/cgi-bin/hgwebdir.cgi/wmii)
I'd like to know if this app works for anyone in any scenario.
Please test it, even if everything compiles for you (esp.
Solaris and other exotic environments). I'm not sure if this app
works with all remote X clients (please test this as well).
Are there any X clients which don't work with it if they are run
remotely?
If the feedback to this app is not too disappointing, I consider
dropping the whole shortcut grabbing mechanism in favor for
simply an event listener which receives all key presses in the
future (even normal user input) and which can be matched for
various things.
Regards,
