Subject: Re: Wmii 4 - Bug report - Firefox
User-Agent: Mozilla Thunderbird 1.0.7 (X11/20051017)
Hi,
I've just at this time the same problem. So, I was surfing on firefox,
about 20 minutes, just on some phpbb forums, without doing anything else
(no video watching), just answer sometime, but watching some flash
website. There's just firefox opened, so then, I close it doing close
(on the firefox menu), so it closed, and wmii stop. I can't use the
keyboard, the status bar is still active (time goes on), but impossible
to open an other programe. The mouse looks to be down too, it can mouve,
but click doesn't do anything. The most strange, that's is just concern
wmii, cause something like ctrl-alt-tab still work, but all wmii
shortcuts are unusable.
So I do a ctrl-alt-F2 and open a consol session, to make some diagnostics.
All right, I found it : when I do ps ux | grep wmii, it show :
dams 7051 0.0 0.3 3492 1688 tty1 T 12:26 0:01 wmiiwm -a unix
/tmp/ns.dams.:0/wmii -r /usr/local/etc/wmii-4/wmiirc
dams 7101 0.0 0.0 0 0 ? Zs 12:26 0:00 [wmiirc] <defunct>
...(all other line looks good)
So it appear that wmiirc has gone into a zombi state.
I think it come from firefox, cause it do a lot of time this bug, even
on gnome or kde, making zombi the parent process.
Regards,
