I know, but I still have to find the problem...

But I just verified that the current repository compiles
and runs on
NetBSD 3.0 (GENERIC) #0: Mon Dec 19 04:05:17 UTC 2005
on a Sun UltraSPARC 5. No problems with /bin/sh.
