[wmii] screen resize problems

hi

since i recently aquiered a new TFT, wanted to use xrandr to add the new
output, disable the interal display of my notebook and then resize the
screen to the resolution of the extenal TFT:

xrandr --newmode "1920x1200_60.00" 193.16 1920 2048 2256 2592 1200 \
1201 1204 1242 -HSync +Vsync
xrandr --addmode VGA "1920x1200_60.00"
xrandr --output VGA --auto
xrandr --output LVDS --off

(the reason for not using xinerama is that because the external monitor
has a resolution of 1920x1200 using both screens is both useless and
acorgding to the documentation could lead to problems with my intel i945
card.)

now, everything is fine..the output is switched, the resolution is
changed..but: wmii only uses the old resolution part of the screen
(so it is a 1024x768 on the left top edge)
is there a way to tell wmii to resize itself?
