You could try to get the hg version and test it for changesets inbetween
20070516 and 20071003. Afterwords we can have a look at the diff that
broke it.
It also would be interresting, if it happens with both rc.wmii and
wmiirc (you can set what will be started in wmiistartrc), but I guess
it's another wmii vs. X11 bug or some strage enviroment/locale issue.
