I had problems with compilation on a FreeBSD-7.0-stable system
(LIBICONV = -liconv commented out in config.mk). After make I get this
error:

Stop in /home/chris/wmii+ixp-20080518.

I then changed the ${LIBIXP} instances in ./cmd/wmii/Makefile and
./cmd/Makefile to the absolute path of ./lib/libixp.a of the build
directory and it compiled and wmii is working now.

Probably (most likely) I did something wrong or strange, anyhow I
though I should report this.
