Are you sure of the ` before {wi_script wmiirc}??
Result of the command :
[jpec_AT_WindU100X ~]$ cat <<EOF >.wmii-hg/rc.wmii.local
> exec `{wi_script wmiirc}
> EOF
bash: bad substitution: no closing "`" in `{wi_script wmiirc}
So i add a "`" at the end...
