I found that the help message comes from this line in wmiirc:

wmiir rm $(wmiir ls /lbar | sed 's,^,/lbar/,')

It happens when `wmiir ls' returns nothing, as happens when wmii starts.
Something like:

LBARITEMS=$(wmiir ls /lbar | sed 's,^,/lbar/,')
if [ ! -z $LBARITEMS ]; then
        wmiir rm $LBARITEMS
fi
unset LBARITEMS

should fix this small aesthetic detail. Or we can just throw wmiir's
output in /dev/null.
