Even though I agree with Dimitris, we should embrace a new patch-
etiquette which means that every patch supplied should have a
version compatible to each release and one version which applies
against git.
Sadly, there are not enough people here who seemingly are willing
to make the necessary changes to patches to make them compatible
with latest Git.
