Well...still, on the first look at the title I read "fnord | something".
A mere 1px wide bar does not separate that much... but that's my
experience which you don't need to share.

...and maybe there's more important stuff to fix. Like that focus
bug I posted few days ago (it's in wmii-3.1, wmii-4 and dwm).
