What mess? I personally like emacs keys with readline much better than the
vi ones.
IMHO vi's keys are great for editing text, but not for terminal usage.

Anyhow, I don't see point in not using the winkey if you have it on your
keyboard.
Instead of using it you recommend changing one's way of living, so that one
could use LAlt only. Really great ;-)
