I don't understand the focus on livecds. Is it a recovery thing? Why
would you work from a livecd long enough to care about the interface?

I already have a Slackware CD customized for my T43. I drop it in,
and when it's up, I have a dwm desktop (with optional 2wm :) and all
my config files and custom software. Slackware's tagfiles make it
easy.
