Greetings comrades,
I am glad to announce the 0.4.1 release of st. It's codename is »pufferfish
tates like carp« because of the special reason for this release.
Main release reason:
* st now compiles on OpenBSD again
* This error has there been for a longer time. Learn to speak up
OpenBSD users!
What features slipped in due to the ongoing st development:
* There is now the -a commandline parameter. It will disable alternative
screens, so for example when you end less(1) the displayed content will stay
on the screen instead of disappearing.
* Flexible commandline handling using arg.h and ARGBEGIN. This allows argument
concatenation and more.
* Copy and pasting is fixed to work with GUIs and text applications. This has
been solved due to the productive discussions on the mailinglist.
* The cursor is now drawn as a rectangle when st is unselected. This makes it
easier to spot the cursor in that case.
* The -g geometry parameter is now documented and works as expected.
* BCE is now supported even more. This makes dialog(1) and the Linux kernel
make menuinstall work again.
* Copy and pasting now strips off trailing whitespaces. This makes copying and
pasting in X11 more easier and less cumbersome.
* Some cleanups and removal of source lines.

Thanks to all st contributors and users! Our united efforts already made
us overtake Gnome and KDE without catching up!
Sincerely,
Christoph Lohmann
