I can recomend you CRUX. It is a source-based GNU/Linux distro. It has
BSD-style init scripts and ports system. There is a wayland port, but I
didn't try it.
I used Gentoo for several years before, and now I switched to CRUX. I
like it very much. It's KISS and very convenient. It is very comfortable
to rule ports and make and edit own.
