[dwm] Resizing problems with Java/Swing programs

I have a problem with Java/Swing programs in dwm. They don't accept
any of my attempts to resize them, in tiled and floating layout alike.

If you have Java installed you can start the program I need to use
with

$ javaws 'http://files.gokgs.com/javaBin/cgoban.jnlp'

then try to resize any window to see the problem.

Can anyone tell me whether this is dwm's or Java's fault, and whether
there's a workaround or fix in the plans?
