Only FTR, I can confirm that I could not reproduce them with
webkit-gtk-2.24.2 on NetBSD/evbarm neither with webkit-gtk-2.24.3 on
NetBSD/amd64 (both with surf Git HEAD).

I.e. They are both rendered as HTML when opening them via
`surf file.html' (where file.html are respectively `abcd\n' and
`<html><head/><body/></html>').
