[wmii] 9base snapshot problem?

I seem to be having a problem with the latest 9base snapshot
(9base-20051113). WMIR_SOCKET isn't getting set correctly, and it's
evidently because the date command used wmii is returning the wrong
value (both in terms of format and time):

$ ./local/9/bin/date +%y%m%d%M%H%S
Wed Dec 31 19:00:00 EST 1969
$ date
Sun Nov 13 22:35:55 EST 2005

But I saw nothing interesting during the compile (only a presumably
unrelated warning about needing shared versions of getgrgid & getpwuid
at runtime for rc & test). I'm on a linux system (Debian unstable).
