Yes, I know these issues, and I think it is not wmii's fault
(Those clients seem to reconfigure the parent window on their
own, what completely breaks ICCCM.) I think we will get a
workaround for them after wmii-3 (though especially GAIM is
considered as broken app ;)
Can you supply the geometry of the specific client through
reading its geom file if you switch to the view it is attched
to?
