Attached is a new version of my patch, which fixes the following
problems.

1. There was a segfault when switching from one empty view to
another empty view whose name was larger (in terms of ASCII
ordering) than any existing view.

For example, if your views are [1, "foo", "mail"] and you are in the
currently empty "foo" view, then the segfault occurs when you change
to the nonexistent "z" view.

2. Whitespace was not being stripped from the argument of the "view
NAME_OF_VIEW" command, as it was done for changing a client's tags.
