hm, it works fine here on that snap, is it possible its just going up
off of the screen?, the only way i am able to get a similar effect is to
grow the window so the titlebar goes up off the screen, could try
  wmiir xwrite /tag/sel/ctl grow sel sel up -1
to shrink it back down?
