That was me.
I had the problems on a Gentoo box with PREFIX=/users/dahms/local (no
root privileges at work). I did not try a fresh clone there yet, will have
to do next week.
Now I tried on my laptop with Arch Linux using the wmii-hg package from
AUR and it works just fine.
