The ruby wmiirc that ships with wmii is grossly out of date. Please
obtain the newest version from GitHub instead:
https://github.com/sunaku/wmiirc

I'm glad you're using wmii-hg; it should Just Work with the newer
Ruby wmiirc mentioned above.
