I finally managed using dmenu with your help;
i edited config.h and added
  { MODKEY, XK_p, spawn, { .cmd = "exec dmenu.sh" } }, \
then put in dmenu.sh:

`echo -e
"amarok\nkaffeine\ndvd\nvcd\ncdrein\ncdraus\nfirefox\nfirefox-bin\ngftp\
 nbitlbee\nemail\nkalender\nmusik
" | dmenu` &

I don't know if this is the way it's meant to be, but this works for me...

anselm who created this wonderfull and simple wm.
