Given that Anselm is using hg (mercurial) I recommend
learning its mq extension. It is essentially the git
patch queue properly embedded into the rcs instead of
just an add-on. I made the effort and like it a lot!
The hg website has 3 or 4 mq (Mercurial Queues) pages
and chapter 6 of the draft handbook is devoted to the
subject.
