Actually, multiple tags are still allowed, although the separator was
changed from ' ' to '+' a while back; tagging a client with '1+2'
makes it show up in view '1' and '2', but not in any others.
I agree though that stripping leading and trailing whitespace in the
rules sounds like a good idea, as I can't imagine any situation where
someone would want that in a tag anyway.
