For me it works, but I have Mod4 bound to the right "Ctrl" key, my
keyboard doesn't have Windows keys:

keycode 109 = Super_L Super_R
clear mod4
add mod4 = Super_L Super_R

With this settings, and 'test -s ~/.Xmodmap && xmodmap ~/.Xmodmap' in my
~/.xession and 'MODKEY=Mod4' in ~/.wmii-3.5/wmiirc my right Ctrl-key
acts as the WMII modifier, and the Alt key is not, and is free for other
uses, as accessing menus and options in GTK+ programs.
